ActorTrade offers actors the opportunity to practice or record auditions with a fellow actor utilizing their live-stream video service.
ActorTrade operates on a barter system where actors earn minutes of rehearsal time by helping another actor with reading lines. Alternatively, these accumulated minutes can be exchanged for prizes.
To rehearse or self-tape, users can simply open the app and access the 'Rehearse Now' icon in the menu bar. They will then be directed through a series of steps to select an available reader for their session.
Once connected with a reader, users can access the scripts uploaded from their email and begin working on them together. Users can modify their view, conclude the session ahead of schedule if needed, or switch to recording mode for self-taping.
ActorTrade facilitates the seamless upload of audition material directly from actors' phones.
If an actor wishes to contribute by reading lines for others in exchange for their rehearsal minutes, they can activate the 'Read For Others' icon in the menu bar, indicate their availability, and receive alerts when another actor is looking for a reading partner.
For those interested in earning rehearsal time by assisting others, they can select the 'Read For Others' icon and make themselves available. Once matched with an actor in need, they can engage in a live-video stream session promptly.
Actors have the option to redeem their earned minutes for prizes in addition to using them for rehearsals.
